CHAPTER HISTORY
The Little Rock Squadron was renamed to honor Arkansas native David D. Terry Jr.. Mr. Terry was a prominent Little Rock lawyer and was instrumental in the building of the McClellan-Kerr Navigation  System of the Arkansas River in Arkansas. In its existence of over 45 years several  prominent active and retired AF leaders and civic leaders have held the reigns as Chapter, State and Regional Presidents, including: BGen Paul Douglas, BGen Jack Kraras (Later President of the AFA), Col. Robert Tirman, Col. Ewing Kinkaid, Col. H. Dean Wilkerson (Ark ANG), Col. William H. Kehler, Col. Jim Elmer, LtCol. Gordon Smetherst, LtCol. Robert Byrd, Capt. Kevin Sluss, MSgt Jerry Reichenbach, TSgt Arthur Brannen, Willie Oates (Arkansas Hat Lady), Robbie Lee “Bobbie” McCracken, and Marleen Eddlemon. The chapter members are mainly in the Little Rock Central Arkansas area and in 31 North and Eastern Counties.

The chapter sponsors the “TIMONTHY W. KEHLER ANNUAL $2,000.00 SCHOLARSHIP”, awarded to a graduating senior  interested in obtaining a degree in an aerospace career field. The scholarship is named for the son of Col. William and Barbara Kehler, a USAF Academy graduate and F-4  pilot, who was killed in a night training mission. In addition, the chapter sponsors several programs at Little Rock AFB to support their mission.
