This $1,000.00 scholarship may be awarded annually to a deserving high school senior in the geographical area of the Chapters membership wishing to pursue a degree in any field of aeronautics. Preference will be given to a AFJROTC graduate cadet providing they have not received a 4 year scholarship to any of the service academies. This degree can be at any college/university to include an aerospace trade school. If no high school senior applies for this scholarship it may be awarded to a current college student within the two years of entering college. Additionally a previous award winner may reapply for an additional scholarship grant.
A committee from the David D. Terry Chapter reviews the applications and makes the recommendation to the Chapter Executive Committee and the scholarship is announced at the school graduation ceremony.
The winner will be notified in writing by the scholarship committee and informed when a formal presentation will take place. The scholarship check is made to the applicant and the designated school.
Applications are to be mailed to the DDT Scholarship Committee, Box 733 Jacksonville, AR 72076. Applications must be postmarked by March 31th of the current year. We would like to inform your school of this scholarship at graduation Ceremonies.
